Delaware Art Museum Free Sundays Continues

September 17, 2012

The Delaware Art Museum continues to offer FREE admission on Sundays from noon to 4:00.

You probably need a cultural lift and you can continue to get it for free every Sunday at the Delaware Art Museum. Through the generous support of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, the admission fee is waived.

This provides you a great opportunity to reconnect with the Delaware Art Museum. Celebrating 100 years since its founding in 1912 to preserve the works of Howard Pyle, the collection now includes over 12,000 pieces including works by his students such as NC Wyeth and many highlights from other American painters. The museum also contains America’s largest collection of pre-Raphaelite art along with various temporary special exhibitions. With its expansion in 2005, the museum now has over 80,000 square feet of space. You can once again see all their galleries.

Fall is a great time to relax a bit, enjoy the art, enjoy the grounds, and again take advantage of all this region has to offer!
